KFC did meet this criteria with a special on the home page, and so I will be reviewing Kentucky Fried Chicken. Well some people may say Fried Chicken, that just isn’t healthy. Which may be an individuals choice, but this is not a review on nutritional content. It is about getting me info fast, and saving some money because I found you on my smartphone. On the home page, there was a Special.

It says “Get a free cake when you buy a 10pc meal or larger”. You click on the special and it takes you to a map. I had to make the text bigger to see the map, I put in my address and 20 branches came up, I than clicked on the one closest to me and the phone number and address appeared on the screen. It would have been great if I could have clicked on the phone number to call, but oh well.

Me being me, I also wanted to know about nutrition. It took me a couple clicks, but I did find a nutrition guide which you needed to make larger.

All in all, the positives were the special and the nutrition content, while the negatives were that you needed to make the content bigger on the nutrition chart and there was no click to call number, when you found the store nearest you.

Well tires can be a logical phone ap. I wondered if I needed a specific brand of tires, how fast would it be to find tires that I could purchase at a great price.

Upon pressing The first link at the top of the page, a list of different car brands came up. After finding my car brand, I was directed to the different models. After that I was directed to a page which shows different stores nearby with a map. It took 2 minutes to find all the info I needed to call nearby branches to get prices on Goodyear tires. There was also a mobile coupon to save $60 for 4 tire purchase.

All in all, I would give this website 10 out of 10 stars, because of its ease of use and high visibility.

This was the first app that I actually used. I bought the Nike Ipod Sports Kit two years ago. In this kit there is a small chip which you put in your shoe. If you had a Nike shoe, you could put this sensor chip in slot in your shoe. I got a small pouch and put it in between my shoelaces and the tennis shoe tongue.

This chip would somehow communicate with your Ipod as you walked or ran. As you do your workout you could not only hear the music, but there is a voice that would mark off how close you are to your goal. I like to do distance workouts and it would tell me for a 5 mile run when I have run 1,2,3,4 and 5 miles and it would also let me know when I was 800, 400,200, and 100 meters from my goal of 5 miles. Which at the end of your goal, it helps to hear

that you are almost done.

I have had a problem in the past with the sensor. The problem is these chips would wear out. I have gone through 3 sensor chips and I need to get another one. The software from Nike is amazing and it will track your progress and you can  compete with others. An example of this is a Cleveland Browns, first to 40 miles distance competition.

You are given a choice of 4 different workouts. A Basic workout which is just music. For a time workout,  you can choose from 20 minutes to 90 minutes or just pick a custom option.  The distance workout which is my favorite with options of 3, 5, and 10k or 2, 5, and 10 mile workout, or 1/2, 1 marathon or custom workout. The last option is calorie workout which is 100, 200, up to 800 calories or custom workout.

In conclusion, Nike has made this app which will work with marathoners and walkers alike who just want to burn a couple hundred calories.  You can find the Nike Ipod sports kit online for $29 and will make a good Christmas gift for someone who will want to start exercising for the new year.  Of course a personal trainer or a running club, like the Northeast Running Club in northeast Ohio would be better, but if you just want to train by yourself and enjoy training to music, you may want to give this a try.
